A pharmaceutical source stated that, “in the last quarter of last year, drug importing companies, in cooperation with the Banque du Liban and the Ministry of Public Health, were able to secure most of the cancer drugs, with a rate ranging between 80% and 85% of cases.”
He added, “This month, drug importing companies need to obtain prior approvals as soon as possible, to avoid the interruption of these drugs at the beginning of the year.”
And the source added, “The companies importing medicines, as well as all those concerned in the sector know that the Minister of Public Health is doing his best to secure these approvals, knowing that he frequents the Banque du Liban whenever the need arises, in order to complete all the necessary transactions.”
And the source concluded, “Wishing to obtain approvals so that importers can bring cancer drugs, and so that cancer patients can continue to receive their treatment this month.”
