But the meeting between Kobzon’s mother and future daughter-in-law did not go well. Ida Isaevna did not criticize Kruglova, but asked her son not to rush. And it was as if she deliberately began introducing him to the daughters of her friends. But all her plans collapsed when Kobzon said that his chosen one was expecting a child.
However, the persistent woman did not lose hope of ruining her son’s relationship. Desperate, Kruglova flew to Yalta to improve her health. Kobzon kept her company. But they only stayed together for a couple of days. Then Ida Isaevna came to the resort. She settled right in the room with the singers.
“The bed was big. Yosik was sleeping in the middle, me on one side, and mom on the other,” – Kruglova recalled.
Kobzon and his mother communicated with each other as if the girl did not exist: they discussed the advisability of having children. As a result, the performer convinced his beloved to get rid of the pregnancy.
After that they got married, but their relationship worsened every month. Kruglova never forgave her husband for her betrayal, but he continued to obey his mother in everything. The marriage lasted two years.
