Both the National Assembly (AN) of 2020 and that of 2015 install this Thursday, January 5, their period of ordinary sessions for the 2023-2004 financial year, which marks the beginning of a new stage and the continuity of the 2015 AN without the interim presidencyremoved on December 30.
For the installation of the official Assembly, to be held at 11 in the morning, 277 deputies are summoned, as established in article 219 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela (CRBV); while the opposition installation session calls at 10 in the morning for the election of the board of directors in attention to the provisions of article 194 of the constitutional text and the Regulation of Interior and Debates.
Jorge Rodríguez will be the director of debates for the official supporters, however, it is expected that before the session begins, honors will be paid to the equestrian statue of Simón Bolívar, to then move to the Federal Legislative Palace in order to begin the installation process of the session and the election of the new directive.

For the opponents, the start of the new legislative period is carried out with the “dismantling” of the interim government, which brings new processes for its members, who will have to render accounts before parliament in accordance with the provisions of Venezuelan laws.
