In Central America, a mother decided to experience a 100% natural childbirth by giving birth to her child in the Pacific Ocean. The images of this event, immortalized by the dad, are magnificent.

When you are expecting a child, you have the choice between several ways to give birth: in the hospital, at home, in dedicated rooms in a maternity ward or even in water. It is this last option that Josy Peukert, a 27-year-old woman, chose. To give birth to her fourth child, she chose to give birth alone in the Pacific Ocean.

Josy decided to give birth away from the hospital because the birth of her first child in a clinic was painful and traumatic. For her next two babies, Josy gave birth at home, with the help of a midwife.

Finally, to welcome her last child, the young mother decided to have a 100% natural pregnancy. She had no medical appointments and didn’t even know the due date. By doing so, Josy felt free and wanted to demonstrate that the female body can give birth on its own, without any medical intervention.

Josy therefore gave birth to her baby on a beach in Nicaragua, Central America. She crouched in the water to give birth, lulled by the movement of the waves.

« The waves had the same rhythm as the contractions, which helped me feel really good. The soft sand under my body reminded me that there is nothing between heaven and earth but life “said Josy.

To give birth in the ocean, Josy took all the necessary precautions.

« For weeks I watched the tide. When it was time for me to give birth, I knew the beach would be safe for us. Bodhi was born under the sun, at noon, when it was around 35 degrees. We weren’t worried at all about it being cold and I had no concerns about waterborne infections. He is in perfect health. I did all the research I needed, and water is a medically proven barrier “said Josy.

Today, the baby is in excellent health and he is very calm and serene.
