Oukitel has announced the launch of its WP21 smartphone, which is, among other things, a rugged phone that won’t make you feel the pinch of low battery. This well-built smartphone packs a 9,800mAh power unit inside, but disappointingly runs on a 4G chipset – a 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 processor. It comes with 66W charging support to consume that large battery.
Oukitel WP21 Specifications
The Oukitel WP21 has IP68 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. In addition to this, the device has also achieved MIL-STD-810H certification, which allows it to work well in all kinds of harsh weather conditions. All this means that the phone loses a lot of points in the thinness and lightness department, as it is 14.8 mm thick and weighs 398 grams.
Oukitel WP21 is equipped with dual screens. The main screen is a 6.78-inch screen with FHD + resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Positioned on its back surface is the second screen which is a small always-on display that can show you important information such as the time of day, notifications, music controls, and more. It can also double as a camera viewfinder, allowing you to take selfies using the rear cameras.
Speaking of cameras, the back deck is decked out with a 64MP main camera with Sony IMX 686 sensor. There is even a 20MP night vision camera and a 2MP macro camera. The 13MP front camera has also made its way to the Oukitel WP21.
But the spotlight is definitely darkened by the 9,800mAh battery, which promises 68.5 hours of talk time, 12 hours of video viewing time, and 35 hours of music listening. You can even use this battery to charge other devices with an OTG cable. The MediaTek Helio G99 processor of this phone is paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is expandable via a microSD slot.
