This seemed like the right time; Imagine coming out of five years of silence

Bhavana is one of the favorite heroines of Malayalees. Beyond being an actress, she is the epitome of feminization and struggle.

She has been fighting legal action against the attack on her for five years and is still fighting. Imagination shared the challenges she faced during her five-year journey through an Instagram post this past January.

After that, through the famous journalist Barkha Dutt’s mojo story, Bhavana came directly and called out to the world that she is not a victim but a survivor.

Bhavana comes out five years later and talks about why she talked about her journey. Bhavana talks about her journey in an interview with Dhanya Rajendran for News Minute.

‘Instagram post was not something planned. In December 2021, someone (director Balachandrakumar) came on the scene with some revelations.

There were many people who asked me not to be silent. But I was afraid, I do not know if raising my voice against certain things will hinder my case. But when this man came out, I got a lot of public support. Perhaps many thought the case was over and had been strategically settled.

I have received a lot of support and love from people since December. I felt it was important to say how grateful she was to all of them. I posted it on Instagram in response to all the support, ‘Bhavana said.

‘The interview with Barkha Dutt was also not planned. Barkha Dutt was approaching me to speak on Women’s Day. But I did not know what to say. But they assured me that they would only tell me about my trip. I thought this was the right time.

Most people really do not understand what I am going through. People only see the interviews and social media posts that I am happy with. But that was not my life. I experienced a lot. My family and friends know this.

I am not someone who can express emotions publicly. That’s why I felt the need to share my journey. I knew it would not be easy, but I had to do it, ‘Bhavana added.
