Russians admire him.
Soviet cartoons are real art. Many works by Russian artists are popular abroad: “The Hedgehog in the Fog” and the adventures of the crocodile Gena and Cheburashka are loved all over the world.
But there were more daring experiments in the portfolio of creators from the USSR. They frightened foreign viewers and at the same time fascinated them; they would not have dared to film something like this either in the States or in France.
Until now, foreign audiences are impressed by the cartoon “Contact”. The 10-minute film about human contact with an alien life form is deeply psychological, subtle and intelligent. Although the animation in it may indeed seem scary.
What arrives in a spaceship is not a classic green humanoid, but an amorphous miracle-yudo. The earthling behaves unusually. But everything ends well – and this gives hope.
While noting the courage of the Soviet animator, foreign viewers simultaneously admire the selection of music. Attracts attention and style:
