This very rare disease from which Daniel Radcliffe suffers: “I thought I was a wimp”

He’s not the type to dwell on his private life. Embarked despite himself in “Pottermania”, Daniel Radcliffe remains very (very) discreet about his private life. Quite recently, however, he indulged in a few rare secrets about his checkered health.

“It makes a simple migraine almost pleasant”

The silver screen’s most famous wizard has revealed he suffers from cluster headaches, also known as cluster headaches, for a decade. Behind this name hide terrible symptoms that go so far as to trigger suicidal impulses in patients. “It’s very rare obviously, but it’s exceptionally painful. It makes a simple migraine almost feel good. At the time, I thought I was a wimp. I was taking 12 strong painkillers a day and wondering: ‘ Why do I still have a headache?'”confided the one who suffered in silence for a long time to The Independent. To stem these violent crises which can last up to three hours, Radcliffe takes “medicines for high blood pressure”and do an electrocardiogram “from time to time”. His testimony could help other people to put their finger on this little-known disease.
