This Sunday the last day of the regular phase of the Clausura 2023 tournament of the First Division of Non-Amateur Soccer League, “Dorado Bet Guatemala” took place.
It was a day full of contrasts since there was joy for clubs like Coatepeque, Suchitepéquez, San Benito and Deportivo Zacapa for being the ones that finished the regular phase with a direct ticket to the quarterfinal phase.
Likewise, clubs like Puerto de San José and Chimaltenango FC cried tears of blood as they were relegated to the Second Division for the next season, 2023-2024.
Sanarate and San Juan FC are still in a dramatic situation. Although it is true they avoided relegation, they will still have to play a series for permanence in the First Division League. The loser of this particular matchup will be the third descended.
