In an unprecedented experience, four participants demonstrated the resistance of the folding model that is already on sale in Chile.
Four participants demonstrated the resistance of one of the two iconic new folding smartphones that Samsung already has in Chile, the Galaxy Z Flip4. For 96 hours, the technology youtubers Juan Isaacs and María José (La JoseVlog), together with the young Maximiliano Correa and Pilar Muñoz, tested the foldability of the device, managing to add 65,124 folds.
The four characters who accepted the challenge, called #TheFlipShow, were locked up from Thursday, August 25, and until Monday, August 29, in a “studio house” located in the commune of Vitacura, Santiago, which had uninterrupted streaming transmission so that the public lived the folding challenge minute by minute.
“We put the Galaxy Z Flip4 to the test for ruggedness and the results are more than amazing. During these days, the phone proved not only its resistance, but also its protection against water after putting it to the test. The audience was able to verify, live for 96 hours, all the advantages of this new folding smartphone”, commented Marcelo Fuster, Smartphone Manager at Samsung Chile.
The Galaxy Z Flip4 is equipped with IPX8 water resistance, so users can worry less if they get caught in the rain. To protect it from drops, it features Armor Aluminum frames and hinge cover making it the strongest foldable yet.
Additionally, the screen comes with Protective Film, a thin layer that ends up protecting the screen. In case of damage, Galaxy Flip4 has a 1-year warranty that includes a free change of the Protective Film.
Regarding the experience, María José Villalón (La JoseVlog), pointed out that “we really put the equipment to the test and the truth is that the smartphone has a fairly high technology and resists everything. We checked it out in 96 hours live and live for everyone.”
For his part, Maximiliano Correa also highlighted the interaction with the public, who accompanied them from the moment they entered the studio: “The whole experience was incredible, people were always supporting us because they could see us through streaming. Sharing this challenge with them was very nice”.
According to Samsung’s design team, its fourth generation of foldables has been subjected to extensive testing to check the durability and resistance of its folding system, in tests that reached 200,000 folds.
