The fans sang the classic «Thank you very much, Palermo» to honor the club’s top scorer with 236 goals in 404 games.
The former striker won 13 titles in the Xeneize, 8 of them international, including two Libertadores Cups (2000 and 2007) and the Intercontinental 2000 against Real Madrid where he scored two goals.

Beyond what is known bad relationship with Juan Román Riquelme, the current vice president praised him in the preview of this match. «It will be received as it deserves.
