Over the years of his career, Eduard Khil has released many hits that were sung by the whole country. The public knew by heart “Where the Motherland Begins,” “Aty-Bati, the Soldiers Came” and other hits, and “Winter” was especially popular. However, not all fans knew that the censors criticized the song when they heard it for the first time.
