Thomas Markle addresses Meghan on TV with his last wish

In another interview, Thomas Markle spoke about how painful it was not to have contact with his own daughter.
The 79-year-old saw Meghan for the last time five years ago.
He also made one last wish for her: He wanted to get to know his grandchildren before he died.
The drama surrounding Duchess Meghan and her family just won’t end. Not only is her relationship with her husband Prince Harry’s (38) family broken, the former actress has also had no contact with her own father and siblings for years. He finds it hard to bear that he is denied contact with the little ones. “I’m very upset about this because it’s a cruel thing to deny a grandparent the right to see their grandchildren,” he tells the moderation duo Susanna Reid (52) and Richard Madeley (67). He now knows that he could sue in California to finally get access to his grandchildren, but he won’t do that.
Thomas Markle doesn’t see the mistakes in himself
Five years have now passed since the daughter and father saw each other for the last time. At that time he was in the hospital bed. He doesn’t understand the reason for Meghan’s distance. “I didn’t do anything wrong,” said Thomas Markle. He is not the “bad guy”. Nevertheless, he will always love her and always be there for her. In the end, he can’t resist a little dig: “She’s not the person I knew as my daughter,” he says. Does he blame Harry for this? He’s not sure, but suspects that “she has a greater influence on Harry than he has on her.”
