Thousands await the return of Batman in the series

Considering that The Penguin picks up shortly following the conclusion of The Batman, many fans have been wondering if the Dark Lord will appear in the series.

The Penguin explores Oswald Cobblepot’s rise to notoriety within Gotham’s criminal underworld. We should remember that he was formerly the late criminal Carmine Falcone’s top lieutenant at the end of The Batman.

Now, according to the podcast The Hot Micnotable leaker Jeff Sneider confirmed that Pattinson will appear in The Penguin. It’s unknown how much he’ll appear in the series, though it’s believed Pattinson’s Batman will only appear in one episode.

The Penguin, starring Colin Farrell as crime boss Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot, picks up a week following the conclusion of The Batman. Fans were hoping that Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne would at least have a confrontation with Oz following the events of the finale.

Despite claims that Pattinson would not appear, or would not reprise his role as Batman if he did, Sneider’s report offers hope that Batman and Oz will face off in the spin-off.

This would prove to be an advantage for DC in the long run, as it would be the first time that a superhero film from the studio and a spin-off series connect directly, without the use of CGI or stunt doubles.
