Moment of shock for Roland Kaiser and his fans. At his concert in Oldenburg, the fire alarm suddenly went off. Everyone had to leave the hall and the fire brigade had to move in.

Oldenburg – “It’s all okay” says the new single by Roland Kaiser (69). But at his concert in Oldenburg, nothing was okay for a short time. The pop star was supposed to perform in front of thousands of fans in Oldenburg on Thursday evening (February 23, 2023). But before he could even sing a verse, the fire brigade cleared the EWE Arena.

On May 10, Roland Kaiser will be 70 years old. To celebrate his milestone birthday, the hit star is currently touring through Germany with his new album “Perspectives”. Even Schlager colleague Nino de Angelo wrote the title “It’s all ok” for the current album. On February 23 he made a stop in Oldenburg (Lower Saxony).

But even before Roland Kaiser was even on the stage, the fire alarm suddenly went off in the event hall. All visitors, at least several thousand, were asked via loudspeaker to leave the building, as several online portals report. Finally, the fire brigade had to arrive to check whether there was any danger to Roland Kaiser and his fans.

Already knew? Roland Kaiser’s biggest hit came out of frustration

In May 1980, Roland Kaiser released his most successful single to date, “Santa Maria”. Kaiser explained about the creation of Santa Maria: “The two of us emptied a bottle of red wine when the title came about. Actually, Norbert Hammerschmidt and I only drank it out of frustration because our original “Santa Maria” version had just been rejected – [sie] don’t be sentimental and romantic enough. And so we thought: Well, now you get your pack of romance, and you have it […] taken to the extreme. Record company comment: ‘This is awesome! We’re recording that.’”

Fire brigade operation at the Roland Kaiser concert: only a false alarm

But not so wild: After about ten minutes, the all-clear was given again. Fortunately, the cause of the alarm was not a fire, but a defective fire alarm system. The fans of Roland Kaiser were finally able to return to the arena and the concert could start punctually at 8 p.m. The brief moment of shock didn’t spoil the mood. “We had a wonderful concert in Oldenburg,” said the hit star afterwards on Instagram.

Speaking of hits: Anna-Carina Woitschack is suing for sexist insults. She goes to court against cabaret artist Christian Keltermann. He had described her online and in his comedy program as a “hit mattress”. Sources used: mdr.de, schlagerprofis.de
