Threads tests new post archiving feature

O Threads is testing a new function that will allow users archive your posts. With it, it will be possible to have greater control over profiles, being able to hide posts, without necessarily deleting them, just like on Instagram.

The news was announced today by the boss of the social network, Adam Mosseri. According to him, only a small group of users was chosen to test the new function, which does not yet have a date for its official launch.

Also according to Mosseri, it will be possible to archive posts manually or set an automatic archiving timer, which will remove posts after the specified period.

In February, the executive expressed his preference for temporary posts on Threads, suggesting automatic archiving after one month. In response to user feedback, the company will offer the feature as an option rather than making it standard.

A few days ago, the social network also began testing a new filter to sort searches by the most recent results. Some users are accessing the function, which aims to go beyond popular results.

At the beginning of this month, the platform started testing an integration with Instagram DMs. A shortcut button will allow you to send messages directly from Threads, but conversations and replies will still need to be accessed in the Instagram app.
