The students are currently in the De Tumkens sports hall. “All our services are on site and are combing the buildings with a fine-tooth comb. A dog specializing in explosives was also dispatched to the scene. It could be a prank, but we cannot rule anything out,” confirmed Jan Van Avont from the BRT police zone.
“This morning a threatening note was found in the school. We immediately began the evacuation. It went smoothly. The students are not too worried and everyone is safe in the gym . Meanwhile, the police are combing all the buildings,” explained Mayor Bert Ceulemans (Ensemble)
Two supermarkets and a building located opposite the school were also evacuated.
