Cottle selected Kansas City for the brand’s latest venture after visiting the area and developing an affinity for the Crossroads neighborhood.
To provide a comprehensive look at the venue, the Kansas City Star visited the fourth-floor destination on Wednesday, August 6, to observe a screening of the 1999 romantic comedy classic “10 Things I Hate About You.” The experience blends panoramic views of downtown Kansas City’s skyline with casual socializing, relaxed seating, and seasonal food and drink options.
Inside the Crossroads Rooftop Experience
Guests arriving at the 2101 Broadway Blvd. location gain access to the rooftop starting at 8 p.m. Visitors are encouraged by management to arrive early to socialize, play lawn games like cornhole, and enjoy the sunset against the downtown backdrop before the film begins. The venue’s entrance features a hand-painted mural highlighting local landmarks such as the Western Auto sign, The Scout statue, and Union Station, accompanied by neon business signage and a kitchen housed inside a small food truck.
Seating on the open-air deck operates on a first-come, first-served basis. For audio, attendees pick up wireless headphones at the concession stand.
