An explosion due to a domestic gas leak claimed the lives of three members of the Sosa family in the La Linda de Güigüe sector, in the state of Carabobo.
The fire occurred after 9:00 am, authorities reported. The flames caused serious burns on the three victims, who were identified as María de Sosa (69), Martín Sosa (77) and Yasmila Sosa (49).
The deceased were inside the building when the fire occurred.
The wounded were transferred to the Dr. Carlos Sanda hospital and, due to their serious state of health, they were sent to the Ciudad Hospitalaria Dr. Enrique Tejera (Chet) in Valencia.
