Three Venezuelans died trying to cross the Rio Grande

The three Venezuelans had migrated to other countries in South America before deciding to cross the border with the US.

Two women of Venezuelan nationality died during their attempt to cross the Rio Grande to reach the United States.

The two deceased were natives of the Sucre municipality, in Zulia state. Both emigrated to Chile for some time.

Then they decided to undertake the trip to the United States, in search of better life opportunities.

However, they failed to achieve the American dream. When trying to cross the Rio Grande, located between Mexico and the US, they drowned. The females were family, aunt and niece.

Unofficially it was known that their relatives, since last July 18, lost communication with them. In addition, once the search for information on her whereabouts began, they began to receive several messages and calls asking for “ransom” for them.

Finally, this Monday it was confirmed that their bodies were in a morgue, reported the Suresnoticia portal.

On the other hand, a 21-year-old man, identified as Jesús Enrique Carrillo Vergara, died this week while crossing the dangerous Rio Grande.

The Venezuelan, a native of Jajó, Trujillo state, had been missing since August 3, when he jumped into the tributary, near Piedras Negras, without knowing how to swim.

This Sunday, relatives indicated that friends who were with the young man informed them of the boy’s death.
