Thurman and Jackson make comedy thrillers

Los Angeles (AP) – The two “Pulp Fiction” stars Uma Thurman (51) and Samuel L. Jackson (73) are doing things together once more in front of the camera. They will take on the leading roles in the comedy thriller “The Kill Room”, as reported by the US trade journal “Hollywood Reporter” on Friday.

Nicol Paone (“Friendsgiving”) is on board as a director. She linked the report on Instagram with the note that she was “totally excited”.

Jackson plays the boss of a hitman, Thurman an art dealer who gets involved in money laundering. When the professional killer unintentionally becomes an avant-garde figure, the art expert has to assert herself in her scene and in the criminal world. Filming is slated to begin in New York in the spring.

In 1994, Thurman as a gangster bride and Jackson as a hitman in Quentin Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction” caused a sensation. Last Sunday they were on the Oscars stage together with their co-star John Travolta as a trophy presenter. Jackson had received an honorary Oscar a few days earlier.
