Thrissur: After a gap of two years, the tigers came back with the old change. This time 5 teams namely Poonkunnam, Kanattukara, Ayanthole, Viyur Center and Sakthan Pulikali Sangam will step up. Out of this, the first 3 teams will enter the Swaraj Round via MG Road. Team Viyyur will reach Swaraj Round via Bini Junction and Team Shaktan via MO Road.
More than two hundred artists are participating in 5 groups. They will step into the Swaraj round with no shortage of valor and swagger. The winners will be announced at the conclusion of the Tiger Games, but there will not be a regular prize distribution ceremony as ministers and representatives will not be able to attend. That function will be organized on another day.
In the past days, it was said that the Pulikali celebration will have to be changed as there is an official mourning ceremony in the country in honor of Queen Elizabeth. That decision dampened the enthusiasm of the Tigers who were preparing for the Tiger Games after a gap of two years. However, the teams have informed the district administration that in the event that the preparations are complete, shifting the tiger play will cause financial burden. Then the tourism department informed that there is no need to change the tiger game.
