Tijuana and Querétaro share points in the Clausura of Mexico

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Efraín Álvarez scored in the first half and Tijuana tied 1-1 with Querétaro on Friday, in a duel between two of the worst teams in Mexico’s Clausura tournament.

The Uruguayan Facundo Bautista opened the scoring at 13 minutes and Álvarez declared equality at 33 minutes in the match for the sixth round.

With the result, the Xolos reached three points and are placed in 17th position among 18 teams.

The Gallos Blancos are not doing much better and with their four points they are placed in 16th place.

GUN BOATS LEAVE THE LAST PLAZA

With goals from Andrés Montaño and Brian Rubio in the second half, Mazatlán defeated Atlas 2-0 to leave the last place in the standings.

Montaño shook the nets in the 64th minute and Rubio gave direction to the match in the 88th.

With the result, the Cañoneros accumulate four points, placing them in 14th position.

The Foxes lost for the second time in their last three games and remain with seven points, in tenth place.
