The sudden shutdown comes just over two years after the company signed a massive 143,610-square-foot lease in April 2024, which marked one of the city’s largest office transactions that year and nearly tripled its footprint in the area as reported by the Tennessean.
The exact number of employees affected by the layoffs remains undisclosed. Prior to occupying the Music Row location, TikTok’s Nashville staff operated out of downtown Nashville’s WeWork coworking space starting in 2021.
