MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Rudy Gobert had 17 points, 16 rebounds and four blocked shots, reserve Troy Brown Jr. set a season high in points with 17 and the Minnesota Timberwolves overcame an Anthony Edwards injury to beat the Thunder of Oklahoma City 106-103 on Tuesday night in the NBA In-Season tournament.

Edwards had 12 of his 21 points in the third quarter to lead the Wolves (13-4) back after trailing most of the first half, before landing hard on three of a dunk attempt and leaving the game with a discomfort in the right hip.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 32 points on 13-of-22 shooting for the Thunder. A shot from about 11 meters to tie it at the buzzer, the only triple of the night, was clearly off target.

Brown made one of two free throws with 4.5 seconds left to give the Thunder a chance, but the Wolves capped a solid defensive performance, fueled by a switch to zone defense, once again closing the door to the rim.
