The New Jersey Devils have reportedly acquired San Jose Sharks forward Timo Meier.
This is what the Sportsnet network said on Sunday. For the moment, we do not know what the California training would have obtained in return for the 26-year-old skater.
Meier was seen as a prime target ahead of the March 3 trade deadline.
The Swiss hockey player is currently experiencing the best campaign of his career. He has 31 goals and 21 assists for 52 points in 57 games so far in 2022-23.
Meier might become a restricted free agent in July. According to the TSN network, the Devils would have been open to the idea of acquiring the forward without having the guarantee that he will sign a contract extension.
