In the statement, the leaders sent a strong message against the guarantor governments of the Barbados Agreement, Brazil, the United States and Mexico, for facilitating “Venezuelan dictatorial despotism.”

“This situation, together with the previous disqualifications that have been in the public domain, adds questions about the integrity and transparency of the electoral process in its entirety… They prevent progress towards elections that allow a democratization process to be carried out in sister Venezuela,” reads the statement.

This Monday, March 25, the registration of candidates for the presidential elections concluded. The presidential campaign is scheduled to begin on July 4 and end on the 25th of the aforementioned month.
