Tips from the fuel saver: “I drive 2000 kilometers on one tank full!” | life & knowledge

What’s your record for the longest distance on a single tank of fuel? For Eckart Seifert (29) from Halle an der Saale it is a whopping 2056 kilometers! With it, he might get from Berlin to Barcelona without refueling – and still have around 200 kilometers of range left in the tank!

Seifert did it with a Skoda Superb, station wagon, 2.0-liter diesel with 150 hp. Consumption: Only 3.2 liters per 100 km.

For BILD, Seifert explains the techniques he uses to squeeze so many kilometers from just one tank of fuel and what the concept of so-called hypermiling is all regarding.
