The dental specialist, Dr. Amani Saeed Al-Shehri, several tips to maintain oral and dental health during Ramadan.
And she explained during a video clip broadcast by Al-Arabiya channel that care must be taken to clean the teeth during the fasting period, pointing out that dehydration resulting from a lack of water and saliva may make the teeth more susceptible to decay.
Al-Shehri stressed the necessity of brushing the teeth at least twice a day, while using the correct method and the appropriate brush.
She explained that it is better to wait 10 minutes to brush the teeth after eating, pointing out that making sure to visit the doctor helps to avoid future problems.
