French President Emmanuel Macron urged today not to do anything that might threaten the maritime border negotiations between Lebanon and the Israeli enemy, following Prime Minister Yair Lapid called on him, following the resistance carried out a reconnaissance mission towards the disputed area.
Macron called, during his meeting with Lapid in Paris, to “avoid any action” that would threaten the ongoing process between the two sides, saying that “the two countries have an interest in reaching an agreement that allows the exploitation of energy for the benefit of the two peoples.”
The head of the enemy government arrived in Paris today to discuss the demarcation of the maritime borders with Lebanon and the nuclear agreement with Iran.
And Agence France-Presse quoted a senior Israeli official, whose identity was not revealed, as saying that Lapid will ask Macron to “intervene to preserve the negotiations that we want to carry out to the end on gas issues.”
