XALAPA, Ver., November 30, 2022.- The Governor of Veracruz Cuitláhuac García Jiménez announced that 450 health centers and 30 state hospitals will join the IMSS-Wellness National Health Plan.
Before the President of the Republic Andrés Manuel López Obrador during the implementation of the IMSS Well-being Health Plan in the port of Coatzacoalcos, the state president highlighted the commitment of his administration to guarantee the right to health.
“We cannot say that we are concluding the task because rather we are starting it, we are rebuilding, alleviating, compensating for so much damage caused by more than 30 years of neoliberal policies, among the most painful for the people, is the state in which they left us the national health system.
Cuitláhuac García said that during his government, 757 health centers and 58 hospitals that were in deplorable conditions have been intervened and improved.
He explained that the intervention program was extended from three to six years due to the pandemic and highlighted that 1,309 million pesos have been allocated for infrastructure, maintenance, new construction, and rehabilitation in 36 hospitals, 334 health centers, and 16 support units. .
He added that in 2023 the state government will dedicate 1.4 billion pesos to conclude the intervention project with the objective that each of the state health centers fully function with all the necessary services, medical specialists and medicines.
