Varkala: Sri Swathi Thirunal Sangeetvedi annual, award presentation and musical evening will be held from 5 pm on Saturday at Varshamegha Convention Centre, Varkala.
Director Adoor Gopalakrishnan will inaugurate the conference. Sangeetvedi’s music award of the year will be given to film playback singer Unni Menon. The award consists of Rs 50000 and a plaque. The award instituted this year in memory of singer Vani Jayaram will be given to playback singer Lata Raju. Philanthropists Naushad Abdul Rahman, Vignesh Menon and VS Santosh Kumar will be felicitated. At 6.30 Sangeet Sandhya Dalima MLA led by Unnimenon. will be inaugurated.
