Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed that “today, Moscow will send to the United States its response to the American proposals regarding the security guarantees initiative put forward by Russia.”
“We are about to finish analyzing the American message, and I hope that you will be informed of developments in the future situation very soon,” Lavrov said during a press conference Thursday with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio in Moscow. At least, today, we will send a message to the American side,” he said, adding that “the Russian response will come in the form of both a written note and an email.”
Lavrov pledged that “Moscow will publish this message publicly hours after it was sent.” Preferring colleagues in Washington and Brussels, civil society will be drowned out in the lies and blatant propaganda that currently prevail in the media space.”
