Junkfishthe BAFTA-nominated indie studio behind the horror title Monster has announced that the asymmetric multiplayer sequel Monster 2 will participate in the Steam Survival Fest taking place from August 1st to August 8th, 2022. The festival will showcase various survival titles for a week. Many of these will be discounted during this time and there will be demos of upcoming games. Monstrum 2 will also be playable for free from August 4th to 7th as part of the Steam Free Weekend.
Junkfish also announced that Monstrum 2 will soon exit Early Access and unfold its full, monstrous glory on Steam. In the procedurally generated labyrinth surrounded by the raging sea, you play against each other or together as a hunting monster or hunted prey.
The game as a prisoner: Will you dare break out? As a group of prisoners you are on your own and must rely on each other to escape from Sparrow Lock – a run-down sea fortress – before the monster gets you. It’s up to you how you try to survive as you explore the rusty labyrinth of the abandoned facility and use your wits to solve puzzles. Team up with 3 other players to stand up to the monster together.
The game as a monster: Hunting sounds better than being hunted? Then choose one of the different deadly monsters and use your special powers to make the best use of the environment on the hunt. There are four prisoners to hunt – four prisoners to kill!
