Tom Hanks would clean toilets so he might go into space.

The Hollywood actor previously turned down Amazon co-founder Jeff Bezos’ offer to board his Blue Origin flight, before Star Trek star William Shatner accepted the invitation. At the time, Tom did not want to pay the astronomical sum of 28 million dollars to participate in the adventure.

Today, however, he admits that he would do anything to go into space.

He told the Daily Telegraph: “I’d like to be the guy in charge of serving food and cracking jokes to and from the Moon. If there’s room, I’d be the one cleaning up, making jokes, tells stories and entertains everyone. I’m your man. I’d probably sign up right away. It might be a good idea. I’ll do all the work. I’ll clean the toilets. I’ll serve the food. I’ll fold the clothes. I’ll put away the equipment. That way the others can be free to do other things.”

Tom, who was 13 at the time, also recalled the historic day when man set foot on the Moon: “I walked around on July 20, 1969, very aware that I was living in a time when “The history of humanity was changing. We were now the generation that was alive when we landed a man on the Moon.”
