After Le Jura authentic nature, the aerial photographer from Lons-le-Saunier, Tom Mauron is preparing his second photo book, for which he is once again launching crowdfunding, with the aim of publishing it by November 2024.

“My first photo book The Jura Authentic Nature published three years ago worked well. So, those around me said to me: when is the second one? », Explains Tom Mauron, aerial photographer from Jura, who decided to start producing a new work.

“Entitled Lights on the Jura, it will include sunrises and sunsets, with quite a few places which have not yet been exploited” explains the photographer who takes his photos with a drone and who placed the emphasis on the work of morning and evening lights while looking for lesser known angles. “The two books will have the originality of offering different angles.”

The objective is to publish it for the month of November 2024, so that it can constitute a nice end-of-year gift.

“As with the first book, I have no financing and no partners. This is why I am going to launch crowdfunding on Ulule from Friday March 8, 2024 until the beginning of April,” continues the self-employed person who hopes to raise €13,000 for printing.

Tourism, businesses, real estate, architecture…

Passionate about photography for many years, graphic designer for 18 years, Tom Mauron worked at the MJC until it closed. He then decided to buy his first drone. “This sector of photography with a drone is developing very quickly. There are more and more of us; as a result there is a lot of competition and the equipment has evolved a lot.

“I have a good Canon SLR with top quality which then allows me to make very large prints,” confides the professional who today has a complete activity.

“I produce promotional videos and clips outdoors for tourism, but also indoors for businesses. The advantage of the drone is that it allows you to go to places where you cannot go, in very varied fields: real estate, architecture, construction site monitoring.

The 128-page book is due out in November at a price of €35. Website: updrone.fr
