After an unsuccessful stint with the Colorado Avalanche, Tomas Tatar started the new chapter of his career on the right foot with the Seattle Kraken.
Monday night, in a 4-3 overtime loss against the Stars in Dallas, the forward collected a goal and an assist. These were his first points in the uniform of the 32nd team in the National League.

The 33-year-old veteran played a second game with the team and played on the first line alongside Matty Beniers and Jordan Eberle.
“It’s a great new start for me. I am very excited to get this opportunity. I hope I will be able to play like I know how to play,” Tatar told the Seattle Times after being traded by the Avalanche.
The forward moved to the Kraken last Friday in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the upcoming draft. He was unable to establish himself in the top 6 of the “Avs” and was limited to nine points in 27 games with this team.
In Seattle, Tatar reconnects with Pierre-Édouard Bellemare. The two men were teammates with the Vegas Golden Knights in 2017-2018. According to the Frenchman, the newcomer will integrate well into his new team.
“He’s been in the league forever,” said the striker. […] I think he’s a good addition to our locker room. He’s a good guy. We don’t have a superstar here, we just have a group of good guys.”
“I know him very well. He’s a hard-working guy and I’m sure he’ll be useful to us.”
For the moment, Tatar has not experienced the joy of victory with the Kraken. He will try to remedy this situation on Wednesday evening, during a visit to Crypto.com Arena for a duel against the Los Angeles Kings.
