The Tompkins County Public Library will host its inaugural Stitch Club this Friday, March 13th, from 1:00 p.m. To 3:00 p.m., offering a space for fiber artists to connect and share their work.
The biweekly club is open to individuals aged 16 and older who engage in various stitching crafts, including knitting, crochet, and needlepoint. Participants are asked to bring their own projects to work on during the sessions, according to library announcements.
The Stitch Club aims to foster a collaborative environment where stitchers of all skill levels can exchange advice and learn from one another. The library’s event calendar notes the club is an opportunity to “share our projects, skills, and advice—and maybe even learn something new!”
The first meeting launched today, according to a post on the Tompkins County Public Library’s Facebook page, which described the club as a gathering for anyone who uses “needles and yarn.”
The club will meet every other Friday, with the first session having begun on February 13th. No registration is required to attend. The Tompkins County Public Library, located at 101 East Green Street in Ithaca, provides free WiFi and a variety of programs for all ages.
