Wellington – After the tsunami triggered by a volcanic eruption, the Tonga government has dispatched rescue teams to the worst-hit areas of the Pacific nation to evacuate residents. “The evacuation process has begun.” According to this, ships with medical staff, urgently needed supplies and tents were dispatched. The government spoke of an “unprecedented catastrophe” in connection with the outbreak of the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai.
