Whether it is Russia and Ukraine, the United States and China or even the two Koreas, many tensions exist between various nations and sometimes turn into military confrontations.

However, in the absence of direct armed conflict, it is very difficult to say which country has the most powerful army. That is why le site Global Firepower draws up a list of countries each year, classifying them according to their military power.
To present this ranking, several factors are taken into consideration, including the number of soldiers, equipment, vehicles, logistical capabilities, financial means and geographical location.
By analyzing about ten elements, the website assigns each country a score called “PowerIndex”. A perfect military power, if it existed, would get a “PowerInder” of 0. The higher the score, the less powerful a country’s military strength is deemed to be.
