Top Active Speed Cameras in Belgium: Find Out Which Ones Caught the Most Offenders!

Our colleagues from Newspaper conducted the little game of knowing which radars in Belgium were the most “efficient”. According to their investigation and the analysis of data from 106 Flemish police zones, it appears that the most active speed camera in the country is on the E19 in the direction of the Antwerp ring road, before the Craeybeckx tunnel.

120,000 speeding tickets were listed there, for a total revenue of … 7.5 million euros. In reality, the recipe is even greater since 17,000 drivers, flashed 40km / h beyond what is allowed, were summoned and were not counted in this figure.

Other notable places where flashes worked galore included the Gentbrugge Viaduct (101,000 speeding tickets) and the A11 in Bruges (87,000 speeding tickets).

Another striking figure pinned down by our Flemish colleagues: if in 2014, 3.37 million drivers were fined throughout Belgium, last year there were a total of 6.16 million… just for Flanders.

Note that the Last Hour had conducted a similar survey a few weeks ago. According to the DH, in Wallonia, it is the E42 which stands out near Jemeppe-Sur-Sambre. The radars installed on this section would have surprised … more than 123,000 motorists. Below, the summary drawn up by our colleagues for Wallonia and Brussels.
