DUBLIN: Ireland has become one of the most popular countries for international job seekers, a study has found. This is 11% of the number of foreigners searching for jobs in Ireland, according to figures for June.
It is ranked 14th in the list of countries ranked by the global proportion of jobseekers in another country. This is the first time that Ireland has become one of the top 14 preferred countries by jobseekers. It is only after the Covid period that more foreigners have started arriving in search of Ireland.

Luxembourg, Oman and Switzerland are the top countries preferred by job seekers globally.
Ireland is ranked third among the most attractive EU countries for international job seekers. The study also shows that Ireland is one of the ten most popular countries in the world for Ukrainians looking for work abroad.
Software administration, personal care and health care are the most sought after Irish jobs by foreigners.
Although there are still significant numbers of foreigners searching for jobs in the EU, the number of job seekers in English-speaking countries such as the UK, Canada and Australia is lower.
Indeed EMEA director of economic research Pavel Adrjan said the findings suggest that job seekers are more likely to click on job postings in a given country when expats are looking for work and have a linguistic or geographic presence of people from their home country.
