The top spot in the estimated value of Asian soccer players went to Takefusa Kubo (Real Sociedad), the Japanese national team player and a friend of Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain).

According to an estimate by Transfermarkt, a European site that specializes in the market value of soccer players, on the 22nd (local time), Kubo’s market value was estimated at 60 million euros (about 86 billion won).

Kim Min-jae, whose estimated value rose to 60 million euros after winning the Italian Serie A in Napoli in the 2022-2023 season, also maintained his value for six months, but Transfermarkt placed Kubo in first place and Kim Min-jae in second place.

Kubo, whose strengths include sophisticated dribbling and breakthrough ability, is leading the team’s attack this season with 6 goals and 3 assists in the Spanish Primera Liga (La Liga) and 1 assist in the UEFA Champions League (UCL).

Kubo is the same age as Lee Kang-in, who has emerged as the nucleus of Korean soccer. He even had a meal in Mallorca (Spain).

Like Lee Kang-in, he is highly anticipated as a resource that will take charge of a new chapter in Japanese soccer.

Third place in this category went to Japan national team striker Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton).

Mitoma also recorded 50 million euros, the same as Son Heung-min, captain of the Korean national soccer team and Tottenham Hotspur (England), but ranked third instead of tied for third. Son Heung-min is in 4th place.

5th and 6th places also went to Japanese players.

Takehiro Tomiyasu (Arsenal, 30 million euros) ranked 5th, and Hiroki Ito (Stuttgart, 22 million euros) ranked 6th.

Hwang Hee-chan, who recently led Wolverhampton (England)’s attack, also recorded 22 million euros, an increase of about 10 million euros compared to last January, the same amount as Ito, but was ranked 7th, not tied for 6th.

Lee Kang-in, who has recently been expanding his position at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), also had an estimated value of 22 million euros, the same as these players, but was pushed out by Ito and Hwang Hee-chan and took 8th place.

Afterwards, all Japanese players ranked from 9th to 15th place, except for Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi (Porto, 18 million euros), who ranked 10th.

Lazio midfielder Daichi Kamada (20 million euros) was 9th, followed by Doan Ritsu (Freiburg, 18 million euros), Itakura Go (Mönchengladbach), Sugawara Yukinari (Alkmaar), and Furuhashi High School ( Celtic, 15 million euros) and Wataru Endo (Liverpool, 13 million euros) were ranked 11th to 15th.

Among Korean players, Hong Hyun-seok (Gent) ranked 24th (8 million euros) and Hwang In-beom (Crvena Zvezda) ranked 32nd (4.5 million euros).
