A gunman caused quite a stir when he shot dead two men and injured a woman in a broad daylight killing spree on the streets of Toronto on Tuesday.
Just before 1:30 p.m., gunshots rang out on Dundas Street East, near Parliament Street, Toronto police said.
When police arrived, they found three victims, two men and a woman. One of the men was pronounced dead on site, while the second was confirmed upon arrival at the hospital.
The woman, for her part, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
The suspect in the killing, a man, was arrested after a foot chase, during which two officers were injured, the police reported.
Both were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was arrested and a firearm was recovered.
The police had not yet commented, at the end of the afternoon, on the motive which would have pushed the suspect to open fire in the middle of the street.
