Eddie Howe’s team went into the second half of the competition with the intention of ending any hopes of Tottenham turning around this match as quickly as possible. They managed to do this already in the 51st minute, when Alexander Isak scored for the second time.
In the 87th minute of the competition, Fabian Schär scored the result. The Magpies’ defender brilliantly found himself in the opponent’s penalty area after receiving a cross from a corner kick by Anthony Gordon.

Newcastle United won against Tottenham 4-0, thanks to which they temporarily moved to sixth place in the Premier League table. In turn, the team led by Ange Postecoglou squandered the chance to overtake fourth-placed Aston Villa.
