Friday evening when a plane from Tangier descended, a fight broke out on the tarmac at Toulouse Blagnac airport involving a dozen people.
A surreal scene took place last Friday on the tarmac at Toulouse-Blagnac airport. The plane from Tangier in Morocco landed around 8:50 p.m. on the runway at Toulouse airport. But as the passengers get off the plane, shrill cries ring out. “At first, I thought it was a child, but the closer I got, the less I believed it. It was actually several women insulting each other. Suitcases were flying, they were pulling their hair, ”says a mechanic present at the time of this violent altercation. Screams, slaps, blows of different kinds… The scene of incredible violence was even filmed. According to the first elements, the altercation would have started at the Moroccan airport, would have continued on board the aircraft bound for Toulouse and would therefore have continued when the plane landed.
“I took a risk”
Visibly shocked by this bewildering scene, this airport agent decides to approach all the same in order to put an end to hostilities. “Frankly, I took a risk, I could have been injured but they had to be calmed down, it was really degenerating and no one was coming to help us,” said the witness, flabbergasted by the events.
After more than forty minutes of fighting, the ramp staff managed to push the ten people back towards the terminal. The excited spirits were then taken care of by the police officers present within the airport. “In ten years of career at the airport, I had never seen this,” said a mechanic, present during the incident.
According to the Toulouse airport, an investigation is underway following the filing of complaints but no injuries are to be deplored.
