The Rivière-Pilote time trial will have been decisive for the lead in the general classification. This second section of the 8th stage was an expected battle between Dilhan Will, Eddy Michel Cadet Marthe from Martinique and Damien Urcel from Guadeloupe, the first three of the lap. The young Guyanese, wearing the yellow jersey, won the boss in the time of 22’09 minutes.

Dilhan Will will leave in yellow for the last stage of the Tour de Martinique. During the two sections of this eighth stage, he performed very well, finishing in the leading group in the road race and winning the time trial in 22’09 minutes. With this performance, he increases his lead over the second Eddy Michel Cadet Marthe whom he now relegates to 2’19 minutes and the third, the Guadeloupean Damien Urcel passes him, to 3’04 minutes.
A great feat that will have to be achieved on the last 142.7 km stage to finally reach the holy grail, winning this Tour de la Martinique.
