Tour of Rwanda: Axel Laurance new leader

South African Kent Main (Protouch) won the 3rd stage of the Tour of Rwanda, Wednesday February 23 in Gicumbi, following which Frenchman Axel Laurence (B&B Hotels) took the lead in the general classification. Kent Main won in the sprint, in an uphill finish, ahead of the Ukrainian Anatoliy Budyak (Wibatech) and the Frenchman Alan Boileau (B&B Hotels). Axel Laurance took advantage of a failure by the Colombian Jhonatan Restrepo (Drone Hopper) to put on the leader’s jersey for the event. He is ahead of the Spaniard Angel Madrazo and the Eritrean Natnael Tesfatsion, the winner of the 2020 edition. On Thursday, the fourth stage, 124 km long, takes place in the north of the country between Muhanga and Musanze.
