Tourism relies on more networking

The tourism association Attersee-Attergau has been providing tourism and gastronomy businesses in the region with information, industry trends and useful links online (intranet) for a long time. The association is now going one step further: Successful restaurateurs and hoteliers from the region will be passing on tips and tricks to their colleagues free of charge. “Tourism Insider Tips” is the name of the online project.

Short videos and information material

What are the advantages of e-registration? How do I use the contribution margin calculation correctly? How does Personal & Employer Branding work? The specialists will provide answers to such questions in the future. The tourism association collects the knowledge from the region in order to make it digitally available to the companies in the Attersee-Attergau region in the form of short videos including information material.

“There are more than 350 overnight accommodations and a wide range of restaurants in the Attersee-Attergau region,” says Tourism Director Angelina Eggl. “This means that extensive expert knowledge is also available. From now on, we will bundle this as a central contact point and share it with all our companies in the region. We want to set an example with this. But we are also showing that cohesion comes before competition in our region. We can benefit from cooperation if we create synergies.”

Own job portal

In order to help the companies in their search for employees, the tourism association also provides them with their own job portal on its website. It is constantly updated with the latest vacancies. The tourism association also refers to the advantages that a job in the tourism sector offers – that work and leisure time can be combined in a holiday region, for example. Apprentices and interns received discount booklets as a goodie for the first time this year, containing various discounts and vouchers such as free drinks or free admission.
