Towards an opening of the mining cadastre

Mauritania is moving towards opening the mining cadastre to the public, in accordance with a concern for transparency and fairness. It is in this perspective that the Minister of Petroleum, Energy and Mines, Abdelsalam Mohamed Saleh, presented a communication relating to the management of the authorities of the mining cadastre, on the occasion of the weekly government meeting on Wednesday March 05, 2023.
This communication “aims to clear all the cadastral bodies, so that the mining cadastre can be opened to the public, in complete transparency and equity between the different operators, without any discrimination, in accordance with the legal and regulatory provisions in force by June 2023. », Explains the press release published at the end of the Council of Ministers.
